Seton
The Seton’s of Meldrum held Barra Castle thoughout the 16th century and their name is given to one of two luxurious one-bedroom lodges. Lodges that have been part of Barra’s heritage since the 16th century in fact, but which we have invested all our contemporary effort into bringing carefully, and stylishly, up to and beyond 21st century standards.
Seton offers beautifully and tastefully decorated features within the cosiest one bedroom accommodation (with additional sofa bed if required). Stylish Scandinavian designs perfectly compliment the historical features of the property and contemporary fixtures and fittings remind you that you are in fact enveloped in the warmth of a 21st century Hygge embrace and not in a throwback to Seton’s day. Egyptian cotton bed linen, underfloor heating and stylish décor all contribute to ensure you feel pure indulgence and comfort throughout your stay.
Ramsay
The Ramsay Family inherited their stewardship of Barra Castle in the mid 1700s and their name is given to the second of our incredible one bedroom lodges. The Twin of our Seton lodge in all but name, Ramsay offers the same style, comfort and contemporary amenities which perfectly compliment the heart and soul of our heritage buildings.
Abercrombie
Abercrombie continues the theme but with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, offers the perfect small group or family accommodation. With one king and one twin, Abercrombie can accommodate up to 6 people with an additional sofa bed and offers the same comfort and style that is paramount throughout our Barra Lodges. Lovingly renovated and elegantly decorated, Abercrombie really does roll out the red carpet for all our Barra guests.
